The Terminator franchise was created in 1984 by James Cameron. In the future the artificial intelligence Skynet becomes self aware and tries to destroy mankind. Skynet launches a nuclear war and the world is destroyed. In the ashes mankind strikes back under the leadership of John Connor. Skynet realises ther importance of John Connor and sends a killer machine back in time to kill his mother Sarah Connor. The uniting force of mankind is to be crushed before it is even born. John realises the plan of Skynet and he too sends a soldier back in time, this to protect his mother from Skynet’s machine known as a Terminator. Since the first movie The Terminator has become a whole franchise with comics, more movies, video games and a TV series.
