Spyro the Dragon was created by Insomniac Games in 1998. The IP was in the beginning owned by Universal Interactive and Universal Pictures. After switching owners several times the series was accuired by Activision in 2008. The Spyro-games were from the beginning exclusive to the Sony Playstation 1 but have since the PS1 era become multi-platform. The main protagonist is of course the young purple dragon Spyro. He must help the other dragons to save the world which is often threatened by the many bad guys that inhabit the place. To his help Spyro has his trusted friend Sparx the Dragonfly.
