The Lord of the Rings (LOTR) is a high fantasy novel written by JRR Tolkien. It is the sequel for The Hobbit. LOTR is about the struggle between good and evil. The forces of good have to gather their courage and learn to cooperate between each other in order to have a chance against the evil forces that threaten their whole existence. LOTR was written between 1937 and 1949 and is one of the most sold novels of all time. The book has become theater, radio and TV but the most well-known adoption is probably the feature films from 2001 and onwards. Both LOTR and The Hobbit has become epic trilogies for the big screen, and both have since also become video games and merchandise.
