Fear and Loathing in Las Vegas is a psychedelic black comedy and road-movie. It is based on the novel with the same name by Hunter S Thompson. Johnny Depp and Benicio del Toro plays the leads as Raoul Duke and Dr Gonzo. Duke is going to Las Vegas to write an article for a paper. Dr Gonzo is his lawyer. They both have severe problems focusing on the tasks as they are both almost constantly intoxicated by narcotics. The film is a psychedelic journey through Las Vegas. Fear and Loathing in Las Vegas is a polarising movie. There are those that don’t like it at all and there are those that think of it as a masterpiece. It wasn’t a hit when in the theaters but it has since become a cult classic among its fans.
