Fight Club is the movie from 1999 based on the novel by the same name written by Chuck Palahniuk. David Fincher directed the movie and we see Brad Pitt, Edward Norton and Helena Bonham Carter in the leading roles.

Edward Norton plays the main character, a man that has achieved all the things you are supposed to in the modern day. Despite this he feels empty and without purpose. After meeting the soap manufacturer and salesman Tyler Durden everything changes. Together they start Fight Club. A club for men that want something more in life, a club where they can blow of steam through man to man fighting. Fight Club grows and becomes a fenomenon in the whole of the USA. What started as something liberating for our main character begins to slip out of his control.

Fight Club was not a major hit in the theaters. It was firtst aferwards, on the rental and DVD market where the movie became a success. Today the film is somewhat of a cult classic.
