The Lion King is the last classicaly animated Disney Classics feature film. It arrived in theaters in 1994, one year after Aladdin. The story is about the circle of life on the African Pride Lands. The lion cub Simba is born to succeed his father Mufasa, the king of the lions as well as all of the animals in their kingdom. Besides the family of Simba we also get to know his childhood friend Nala, the warthog Pumbaa, the meerkat Timon and the not so friendly hyenas that compete with the lions for power in the Pride Lands.
