Frank Herbert wrote the first book in the franchise in 1965, and then later five sequel novels. His son Brian Herbert together with science fiction writer Kevin J. Anderson have later expanded the Dune universe. It has become a film in 1984, a TV-series in 2000 and is now coming to the big screen again with Denis Villeneuve’s 2021 “Dune”. Apart from books and film there have also been several real milestones with the computer and videogames in the Dune saga.
